Billing FAQ

Money questions, answered in numbers.

relay faq --billing : 4 answers
  1. Deliveries keep flowing: we never drop events at a billing boundary. Overage bills at [set your overage rate] per 1,000 events, and the dashboard warns at 80% and 100% of quota so the invoice is never a surprise.

  2. Pay for 12 months up front and the effective monthly rate drops about 20%: Growth goes from $29 to $24, Scale from $99 to $79. Upgrades mid-term are prorated to the day; downgrades apply at renewal.

  3. Yearly Scale plans can be invoiced with net-30 terms. Monthly plans are card only: the accounting overhead of monthly invoicing would end up in your price.

  4. You can export your full delivery log (JSON lines, one file per day) at any time, including during the 30 days after cancellation. After that window we delete it. No exit fee, no retention hostage-taking.

Changelog

Every ship note, dated for real.

These entries document the actual construction of this site: same list, same honesty. Machines can follow along too: feed.xml is this list as RSS.

  • v1.1.0 : command palette

Cmd+K (or the jump button, for touch) opens a filterable quick-nav across every page and section. Arrow keys move, Enter goes, Escape returns focus where it was. Absent without JS.

  • v1.1.0 : docs that compile

Two inputs above the quickstart: your event route and endpoint host rewrite the curl and both CLI examples in place, and the copy button ships the edited command. Without JS the examples rest on their defaults.

  • v1.1.0 : /status route

90-day uptime bars per component plus an incident log table. All sample data, chipped as such: wire it to your monitor's output. Check time stamps client-side.

  • v1.1.0 : changelog RSS

This list, as a static feed.xml. No generator, no pipeline: edit the changelog, mirror the entry in the feed, deploy.

  • v1.0.0 : first release

Index, pricing/changelog interior, styleguide, designed 404. Deployed to Cloudflare Workers with hashed CSP, sitemap, and security headers.

  • PricingToggle with digit roll

Monthly/yearly toggle swaps prices via per-digit translateY columns. Resting state is plain text: no JS, no motion preference, no problem.

  • Streaming terminal hero

7 delivery lines type in with pure CSS steps() animation; JS then appends a new delivery every 2.2s and prunes the log at 12 lines.

  • Form kit

API-key request form: error summary with focus management, two-signal honeypot, localStorage draft autosave, mailto + copy-brief fallback on every failure path.

  • Token layer

Paper #F4F1EA / carbon #1A1D1A grounds, phosphor green in two AA strengths, IBM Plex Mono 400/600 + Plex Sans variable, self-hosted woff2.
